Community Leader of the Year 2024 for Creativity Found's Claire Waite Brown
Oct 30, 2024In October I was lucky enough to attend the Digital Women Awards in London, and even happier to win the award for the Community Leader of the Year.
My community is called the Creativity Found Collective and was inspired by my podcast, Creativity Found, in which I chat with people who have found or re-found their creativity in adulthood.
The aim of the community is to:
- Connect adults that want to take up a creative activity with artists and crafters who can show them how, and to . . .
- Connect arts and crafts small businesses with new students, each other, and anyone that can help them to run and grow their business.
The judges said that:
‘Claire's efforts in creating the Creativity Found Collective have provided artists and crafters with a supportive community and valuable resources. Her dedication to promoting creativity and supporting small businesses has made a positive impact on the creative industry.’
In an increasingly digital world it is so refreshing that a community designed to help hand crafters and artists continue to do what they love, and to thrive, is recognized and celebrated for all the ways it supports creative small business owners.
The Digital Women Awards are open to any women working in digital industries and entrepreneurship, with entrants going through a rigorous judging process conducted by an esteemed panel.
Lucy Hall, Founder of Digital Women and Director at Skills of the Future Ltd, said:
‘We are excited to celebrate the incredible women who are going above and beyond, doing truly amazing things in the digital space. This is a significant time to recognize businesswomen, entrepreneurs, and those working in digital industries. I’m so glad we get to acknowledge these fantastic achievements from our community and beyond at the Digital Women Awards 2024.’
Creativity Found Collective
The Creativity Found Collective is a promotional and networking membership for artists and crafters who share their creative skills with grown-ups through workshops, online courses, products or subscriptions. It is also a membership for business-support enterprises who use their expertise to help those artists and crafters to grow their businesses.
We promote their offerings on the website and connect them with a network of like-minded business owners.
All of this is backed up by the Creativity Found podcast, in which I chat with grown-ups who have found or re-found their creativity later in life.
